AVATECH at the Zurich Six-Day Race

Athletically, it was one of the best six-days of all time, according to visitors and organizers. Indeed, the group of participants has seldom achieved such high quality, and the national tension level was increased just a few days before the start, when it became known that longtime partners Risi & Marvulli would not be driving together, but rather against each other. A race that anyone could have won up to the last few minutes and did not give the elated fans any room for complaints.

In addition to the professional race, even the amateurs, and of course the pacemaker and motorized bike races wowed the fans. It was a great spectacle, with the racers making their uncounted courses around the track at up to 70 km/h in the curves and only a few centimeters in the slipstream behind the rattling bicycles.

As an official partner of this event, AVATECH was able to invite some of their customers to the six-day race. A number of ticket coupons were available for opening night, which were given away at the AVATECH website according to the “first come, first served” principle.

On the final evening, we could greet our customers as VIP guests. Our guests could follow the race in the filled-to-capacity internal area of the racetrack, directly on the track. In addition to experience the sport as closely as possible, a guided tour behind the scenes was also offered to these visitors; a chance to touch the famous wood track.

AVATECH also supplied the color printed picture badges for various groups of visitors and officials this year. The badges simplified entry checks into the various zones and areas, and significantly contributed to how smoothly the event operated.

The internal area of the Zurich Six-Day race is within the track’s oval, is popular with the visitors and important guests, and has also been used for restaurants since the 52nd occurrence of the event.

Ambiance in the Internal Area.

Only VIP guests have access to the area of the VIP tables. The tables are quite popular with companies and sponsors and had already been sold out months prior to the event.

The AVATECH Table: almost on the finishing line.
