1st EcholoN Customer Convention a success

The 1st EcholoN Customer Convention on 6 November 2007 received a positive response all-round.

The Customer Convention was held on the premises of an EcholoN user, Leibstadt nuclear power station, and received a positive response, right down the line, from all those involved. Participants also rated the Convention as a valuable platform for exchanging experience among themselves.

The latest EcholoN 1.9 Module Analyzer, approval procedure and SNMP Connector with their functions and practical possible applications were presented in detail. For example, end-to-end automation was demonstrated graphically, triggering an SNMP trap at a server utilisation of 90 %, consequently starting an escalation process that still prevents server overload in good time.

The live demonstration of the announced 3rd generation with technical background information sparked very great interest among all participants. Even though the one-hour demonstration was not able to showcase everything, it still impressively indicated how functionally open the system is and how easily all conceivable processes can be mapped. After the talk that followed in relation to procedure and providing an information guide on migration of EcholoN 1.9 to the 3rd generation, this being more than simply an upgrade, almost all participants were sure that they would tackle migration as soon as possible.

After lunch, the participants took up the invitation of the organisers AVATECH and mITsolutions to take a tour around the nuclear power station.

Customers have expressed a great wish to have the EcholoN Customer Convention made a regular fixture, and this why the organisers have already decided to do this.

Der Wunsch nach einer Institutionalisierung der EcholoN Kundentagung ist von der Kundenseite her gross, weshalb sich die Veranstalter bereits entschlossen haben, diesem Verlangen nachzukommen.
